First time at an actual structured song :o This track is based on a specific but fairly obscure '70s classic funk track (there's a clue in the title) which I'm not going to mention so as not to colour people's input. It's one of my other half's favourite funk tunes though. The idea is a simple groove but with the phrase punctuations which are pretty obvious. Structure is:
Intro & phrases: 14 bars (including no drums at start)
Verse: 10 bars
Chorus: 6 ...
