Started playing the Trombone at the age of 13. Before that I played Trumpet and what's called Tenorhorn in Germany. The Trombone was my main instrument until I turned 30. Played in BigBand, Jazz-Combo, Symphonic wind ensemble and in church. Then I completely stooped playing music. It is hard to practice a Trombone with little children in the house. Even now that they are bigger. It just is really loud...
Wanted to get back to music in the summer of 2014 and bought a bass for 90€ at a large german internet music store. Plus a cheap practice amp. That is quiet enough as long as I practice with headphones. This is the instrument I played on my recordings and i really just started to learn to play the bass.
Don't have any real band experience with the bass yet. This is why I really enjoy playing with you all on wikiloops. Cool stuff to practice with. And so many different styles to learn. And most of the times I experience my limits. Makes me wanna try even harder.
Thanks everybody for sharing all these great loops!!!
And thanks for all the people who create and maintain this terrific platform. If I get it right it is mainly Dick from good old Ooche.
This platform rocks. Reminds me of the good old days when the internet was dominated by non-profit organisations and enthusiastic anarchists.
