the wife is discussing the "lab report" with her father, and other things, while she whips up some deviled egg treats as the 90 yr old man sits to play chess with the grandson. The smoke of a hard game begins to waft(the smoke exudes from Gramps and his Grandson's ears) and the the strong smell of eggs and vinegar, and whatever else is in those eggs....

so when we last left off the game was getting heated between the old man and the young buck. The conversation has hushed to a grunt or an ohh, maybe a "check" can be heard, or most likely, "You sure you want to trade Queens"

all the while the 2nd guitar finds the silenced tension the perfect atmosphere to lay down a 2nd guitar, "what the heck, anybody can do it" so here goes.....

Long after, if you measure in a fly's life, the games are over and Gramps has driven off and the young buck goes for a run. There seems too much room, and a silence in the place.
