added drums....there was a club downtown Houston on the square that played music off of records or reeel to reel and they had huge speakers and they had a stage with a drummer that played with all the music. I thought back in 73 it was fantastic stuff! My date was the dream girl...But I was the only one dreaming!

never went. I don't do well in crowds unless separated by a stage!(as if!!!) I went into a 2nd hand guitar store the other day and an old drummer i played with for a while was in there and setting at a drum set---hardly any traffic at this store, but he pointed me to an awsesome strat copy with some custom pick-ups of which I should have written down the names and a 1 in 40 Kustom amp The front part of it had that foam padding they used to use when we were youngstres--into was nicely incorp into the look of the amp....but MAN that was fun ...that guy was always great and we play for about 20 minutes.

That's cool, I did love the look of those Kustom amps!! Wish you could go to the party, old school hippy party with a HUGE drum circle going on all the time. After 6pm all the children leave, nudity is allowed in Austin parks and it gets kind of wild after 6.

It does sound like it could get a little wild....but I don't wear tye-dye stuff, no tats, no piercings, so i might not fit the scene. There used to be a group of peps that did drum circle everyweek at local hippie hangout. Our band played there several times and I played by myself maybe 5 times. I played in a drum circle sort of when I was in Maine one summer through an art scholarship. A guy from Colorado made a Teepee (Not to be cornfused with BearPaw-TeeGee) and we had a sort of a drum circle one night. Since I have a 32nd amount of Native Am Indian, I was a shoe-in and I had a big branch that was slender enough to hold in my hand but I could dance and smash it on the concrete floor of the teepee...it was fun
