nadrek Yes the Godfather of Soul is a big influence for me. His brass section pioneered that kind of funky sound. You can hear a lot of James Brown's brass style influence in my other favourite brass section - the horns of Tower of Power.

Great section! Reminds me of a band i was in for more than 10 years! It is so cool to play with a live brass section!
