House of Bounce
I'm not really into House music so much but I couldn't resist this excellent piece from R1772!

Hi friends, it is a pleasure not only to listen to your fine adds but also to read your comments, because I need opinions of good musicians if there is a groove - very often self programmed drum loops are sounding dead and it does need a lot of tweaking to make them groove.:)

Hi GrooveEnth! Big congrats to your very lively and suitable bass lines.I like those clear defined basses a lot. How did you record your bass? Greetigs Rainer

Hi Rainer, pleased you like it. I struggle with sound a lot but I think I'm gradually getting better at it! Firstly, new strings help a lot (when you want a bright sound which is not always.) On this particular track I used a patch on my zoom 506 which was already quite middley and compressed. In Sonar I added more compression (more than usual because of the nature of the track) and gave the eq a 6db bump around 120 Hz which is the 'B' pulse for most of the tune. On other tunes I often find that giving bump around 1 or 2 KHz helps the bass cut through. Would be happy to talk more via PM if I haven't bored you enough already! :)

Oh - and I should probably add that the twanginess on the higher notes really comes mostly from the way they're plucked. (I tend to 'pull' them rather than stroke them to get a bit of rattle.)
