added some backing vocals to Gabriel, Devin, Mario and Demian's great BossaNova. Such a swinging tune and great lyrics

I isolated the vocals to a capella (just for fun) and it sounds reeeeeeally cool :D+1

GemmyF Sounds like it would--your voice is sonatural sounding and upfront, mine seems like it would stay behind in a floaty haze.:D +1

GemmyF It'd be fun to have the guitar squashed in it's tone with eq that could come in and out as needed --- for a "remix" +0

moonchild I have a vague idea of what you mean... is that something like sidechain compression? lol i have no clue but yeah, it sounds bad ass. +0

GemmyF not sure --I would use an EQ and take out some of the frequencies and maybe exaggerate others then maybe squash it with a compression--but I do that with a plug in (never really used the Sidechain---I just never knew about doing the when I first started this stuff---hard to teach an old dog)
But a lot of times I guess I'm doing the same sort of thing when I duplicate a track(any kind--a bounced mix that Ive brought in or a recorded track like vocals or a wiki-player track and I add effects to it and use the automated volumes and pans bringing them in and out as the song requires to give the most polish and sonic movement - sound that travels---Sometimes to apparent in my mixes sometimes it's just ahhhhh!

GemmyF BTW you are Puerto Rican? Did you grow up there? Parents grow up there? I lived there for 5 months back in 77-78(I think) lived in Puntas-which is a smaller place close to Rincon north/ west coast. Ramey Airforce base had a great jazz station that we could get on the radio.... if your parents grew up around that area I would imagine--that might be where the love of jazz to you was handed down. Think that station had a pretty far reach. I didn't travel there much....to Mayaguez(don't know if that's the spelling) TO GIVE BLOOD(for some food money) and once to the north coast kind a place called Jobos(that was what the surf spot was called) +0
