LeftTheLoops9-18 Ernie, your speed getting this remix up is admirable. The bassline is very melodic. Especially when you start "crawling" under Peter during the final solo. Cannot thank you enough for jumping in . I was hoping the keyboard E wasnt too much. Im still practicing keyboard and working it all out. Thanks man!+2

Khendon I am a ways off this, lots of E, Em and C in this one I think.. (Transcribe!, Ear, Bass and lots of time because I'm terrible) +1

LeftTheLoops9-18 Khendon-Yes you picked out the main chords very well. As you practice you start breaking songs down into sections. Nothing i played here takes any special talent. Its easy sections just arranged well and pieced together. I often write on paper towels or post it notes "Intro/E funeral verse/ Chorus/Mandys...etc" so as Im recording I remember what section goes where. Very UN High Tech!..
Ernie here is doing much more then emphasizing a chord by playing the root note. Hes melodically supporting Peter (PEWI) and kind of adding a counter melody which of course, makes the song a little less predictable and keeps it entertaining and interesting. Theres alot of bassist "tricks" and techniques that make bass a very precise and very important instrument. Ernie here is simply not a "bass player". hes a "bassist". Big difference between the two. Thats why we love him so much! But theres also alot of others we equally love for their talents.
You are doing the right thing and listening and getting to know the folks around here and that is perfect . The important thing above all is you can also hear Ernie having fun as he plays. That is the numero uno thing around here. So if you have questions please ask and also keep up listening and complimenting others....in one year you wont believe how far youve grown as a musician.
Just remember respect for others and HAVE FUN! Dont be afraid to try anything! Its all fair game here. +2
