Tyros' music is like when in my youth I waited for the next album by my favorite Jazz musicians. So I am so grateful for his backing track that oozes Jazz. I added 0:06-2:09, 3:39-4:18. There is a lot of open space.

A man of Jazz. All your musical influences are palpable here. Strong Atlantic identity that you have in your notes and musical rules...:) Bravo Dan !

Very nice play. Reminds me a little jazz house in Montreal in the 70's where I used to go.

Thanks so much!!! Yeah... I remember the NYC jazz clubs in the '70s, so many Greats, Rollins, Getz, Basie, Ellington, Coltrane. I couldn't believe those GREAT Sounds were coming out of them right in front of me!!

I did not see those celebrities but there were very nice jazz players.
A few years ago I was invited to a concert with Al Di Meola. We were about 30 persons in a small place and after the show I talked with him. This guy is a genius. +0

I guess you must be referring to the ‘spirit’ of Coltrane....he died in 1967....his spirit lives on of course

Thank You so much, Rene!!!! I remember in the '70s I entered a Jazz radio station Jazz contest to jam in a famous NYC jazz club with their house band! WOW... I was so scared and rightfully so, Thelonious Monk's son was in his trio. I never played such a fast blues and I held on with dear life never able to negotiate there monstrous syncopated beat changes!!! I was not surprised I did not win or place in in top 10.

I admire that you have participated in such competitions. Sometimes, such a "negative experience" for the whole life positively shaping, even if you do not see that at the moment. I imagine that you too were influenced by it.:)

Thank You so very much Slin!!! Dexter Gordon is one of my 2 all time favorite Jazz Tenor saxists. The following is Dexter in Oslo in 1978. Music starts at 2:35. Maybe this was Jazz club you played in.
