I think you need to show a bit more confidence in your soloing Rick..........ha ha....no I'm JOKING...seriously excellent man. Not only do I love your soloing concept I also love your sound...it's as recognizable to me as Metheny or Scofield...you've taken this track to another level. I'll download it and have a crack at putting something down that's going to fit but man you're a hard act to follow..... +1

Acousticeg Actually I doubt my playing and sound all the time. I'm always tweaking my tone even when it's fine and I should just leave it alone. lol The solos are off the top of my head and in contrast to the mellow parts. I usually only plan the first few notes going into it and the last few notes at the end.I have worked very hard to find my own approach to playing guitar. Means a great deal to me that you recognize that sound and approach. I must be doing something right. lol +1

CameAndWent4-20 I get the self doubt Rick, I'm there with you pretty much the whole time....I gave up playing for three years after I heard a solo I'd recorded over in LA at Capitol Studio's...I was so mortified I couldn't look at my horns without feeling sick. I finally managed to get back into it after that break and it actually did me good...Looking at everything afresh and I always think just do what you can... get on with it....and be you....I'm also of the same approach to soloing in as much as I look at a get in and get out and what happens in between is up to me. I've tried a few takes on this track over the last hour or so and I can't really find a way to make it blend in....it seems the contrast between your solo and having a sax in there seems a bit incongruous. And yes sir, you are doing everything right....such a fluid style that exudes confidence and the sheer enjoyment that you must be experiencing when playing like this. Top respect from to you. +1
