haha thanks Marc!! You have part of reason, any instrument depends on the soul transmitted by the bass player's fingers to the string, it is a general reflection for any musician and instrument. I've seen some videos on YouTube of very famous musicians playing very cheap instruments and they still sound good for this reason ;)
