Forgive me :D Could not resist one more mixing mastering attempt with this wicked cool lineup. One of the things I tried was side-chain compression to dynamically balance the instruments with the vocals. My attempt was to raise the volume of the band and allow the vocals to compress them slighty when YuuLi was singing. I used a Renaissance Compressor in Vocal Hug mode ;)

YuuLi Yeah, that's exactly the impression I have when I listen to it! After reading your description I searched on the Internet what was a "side-chain effect" and I found only tutorials that explain it with a lot of jargon :o, it always seems like you need a B.A. in sound science to figure it out :D +1
