He's Pulling Strings Again
Actually recorded this first thing this morning but work interrupted me and have only just mixed it!
A simple and effective riff from Sami here, providing building blocks for much bigger things. So I added, I hope, simple and effective drums.
Nothing fancy, nothing clever. Avoided the temptation to 'go funky'. Hit the time with the kick following the main rhythmic motif of the riff. The only real variance is switching to off-beats on the ride/hi-hat for a couple of iterations.

Perfect to my ear! :D Totally great for the building blocks on what can happen later. Love your taste and fills. I also had to restrain myself not to add all these other funky guitar parts as layers so the community could have some space to play. You nailed it again! : )
