Thank you. The sound is using the Overdrive effect on the Ampero effects pedal, it's a MusicMan Sterling 4HS bass with an 18v pre-amp in it so it's really forward. I've been leaning toward this sound more for metal recordings. Jazz... not so much :-)

Thx for infos. I like almost all genres. In my younger days, I listened to only rock and what revolves around it before switching to jazz-rock :D

No sir, all fingers. On rare occasions I will punch in a part with a pic, but I am a finger player. As for jazz, my father influenced my on that but I have always been a rock guy, metal from the 80's an all that. Most anything after 1991 just went past me.

Thank you for the kind comments Anrak. I considered a few different options at that part but a simple bump bump bump seemed to match what I was hearing. I love the tempo that follows that section, really driving. I appreciate the listen.

Yup, killer savage grooves, extreme dexterity on the lightning fast little licks, top shelf my man. The periodic dips using bends are sweet. Real solid slammer Joe very enjoyable.
