I guess you sounded a lot like this when playing a real trumpet? Good lines and the right feel in your lead.

It's funny but I didn't. Classical training primarily. Quit all together around 17. Never matured much musically, never learned to use the instrument to say anything personal. Thanks for the compliment though.

I'm an open book. I don't feel like I have much to say about me when it comes to music though or I would add something to my profile.

I appreciate that but it took being away from music for 25 years to be able to approach music on my own terms, if you know what I mean.
I can now surrender to the process much more to the point where I surprise myself at times. +1

Yea, that's natural talent!
I've often had disagreements with sax teachers who strictly teach technically and approach improvisation as a technical cut and paste type of playing. It's my contention that it ignores natural talent and those who may be able to play by ear and winds up burying their talent and creativity. The difference is talent connects brain/ear directly to hands whereas the academic method is taught visually where notes played aren't necessarily heard until played. it's cut and paste compared to a creative conscious flow. +0

Very cool and very melodic playing, Brad!! Your phrasing is "special" an adds that "nice" tension!!!! I so agree with Wade's assessment!!!! All that matters is playing for the sake of just the music, and how you "feel" now what motivates you musical "voice" which is as valuable as anybody's because it is "you" and as you can see it brings joy to us.
