metaled I used to play in only drop c invest in dunlap heavy core strings they hold standard tension in drop tuning it's crazy+3

rootshell years ago i broke that nut at the top with thicker ernie ball strings for drop c hehe. drop c is interesting low, fun to jam with brotha! +1

rootshell i keep my MIM strat on drop C...it stays up collecting dust but once in a while i'll use it. i may try and jump in, although two drop C's may be a bit muddy haha :) great jam though Ron, loving the gnarliness of it :W +1

I am not much of metal player but may explore this lower tuning some more. All my guitars have light gauge strings so going this low was a challenge. I had to try and play really light or it just goes way out of pitch. Going to get some heavy gauge strings and set one guitar up for this stuff. I like that heavy dark sound..then learn some more chording for it:) +0
