I'm also cutting wood, but it's from our trials to test wood properties. Also clearing 2 1/2 years of neglect with brambles and weeds that have grown 5 meters. The growth in our area in tropical Australia is phenomenal. Average of 4 meters of rain a year (mostly in summer). In a "wet year" it rains 7 meters. Average temperature is 24 Degrees year round. It's a jungle!

Very interesting to learn from foresters of other countries. Here we have to fight with the black flyes.

Great cartooning and song. No blackflies in my area, but we have other critters to consider. Cassowary (2 meter tall bird that can slice your guts open with a special claw it has), Several dozen poisonous snakes including the world's most deadly venom (taipan), up to 6 meter long amethystine python, stinging trees (the sting is so bad that people commit suicide as it lasts for years), and the worst (and smallest) is the paralysis tick. They carry typhus (which I got from one).
Old saying: every paradise has its flies.
Cheers! +1

Got to admit I love all the critters here, even the ones that try to kill you. Makes work extra exciting!
