The Goldilocks Challenge
This is a wonderful track from Inkless and PJE. Although very short it was very inspirational. A one take improvised recording was followed by two more. Each uses the same sax and settings, so a casual listen will sound the same. However each is very different and was an attempt to capture something different inherent in the template.
So here's the challenge: Goldilocks had three choices of what was just right (for her). ...

This is a great idea. I wish I had experienced it before reading your text so that I could compare my thoughts before and after learning about it. From what I gathered, the first part seems to focus on the material aspects of life, like our physical existence and exploring it. However, I only realized this after listening to the second part, which I think is the most spiritual of the three. The third part appears to reflect on the earlier parts. So, well done. Or in other words: so well done!

I wish I could say what was going through my head when recording each. I'm sort of in a trance and just "singing along" trough the horn. I'm very happy though that it resonated with you and gave specific thoughts/visions. Music is at it's best when it is internalized by others. Thanks so much!

No hay mucho Fx en el saxo, solo un poco de reverberación y retraso. Me alegro de que hayas disfrutado. Gracias Carlottis.

Okay I admit Im lost. You said Im like Goldilocks and I have three choices before me as to which section resonates to me. Daddy, Mama and Baby Bear.
So there is no right or wrong. Its a matter of preference which stands out or catches my ear.
First I skipped around the three on first listen as thought Id be clever and preview them all.
No, they dont all sound the same but I guess if anything it would be the middle section. It caught my attention because it reminds me of King Crimson.Im always going to relate something to something Ive heard before.
However the King Crimsoness goes thru all three sections as like a theme.
So I actually honestly will have to say I have no real preference because I honestly appreciate it as a "piece with three sections", with probably the middle section grabbing my ear the most. +1

Looking forward to that! I know that you have a keen ear and will probably dissect the heck out of this. Please just remember that it's all improvisation so nothing (form wise) is intentional.

Oh well editing your reply makes a nonsense of my initial reply, but that doesn't matter. I'm very appreciative of your having an emotional response as that wasn't what I was expecting. I've had the King Crimson comparison come up once before, and am certainly flattered by it. Just so glad that it's touched a nerve or memory that you can relate to. Cheers LittleWing!

Excellent!! I really can`t say I like the first more or the second.... or the the third. Every part has something great and stands perfectly on its own. All together illuminate the template great and bring it perfectly to the stage! Awesome !!!

That's so very kind of you Franky! It's especially good to have the opinion that each has individuality and works on it's own. Thanks so much!

Thanks Mary! I was hoping it would be thought of as your challenge to listen and hear which one worked best for you. Oh well, just very glad you liked it.

Thanks Mario. This short track was indeed a great inspiration with it's intensity, yet left lots of room for interpretation.
