Wade The planet will go on... with or without us and eventually heal. The worst scenario is for humans to continue on a destructive path until we've extinguished too many other critters and disrupted too much. Many/most environmental scientists are calling this a new epoch... the Anthropocene, which literally refers to humans killing off much of life on earth in the same way that a celestial rock killed off the dinosaurs. +1
