A serious topic in the news lately - a point of view perhaps.
Spoken word poem with a sung version in the background.

I didn't know what my thoughts and feelings were until I started to compose the lyrics :) Thanks Wade.... now back to something fun I think !

As an "elderly" person (I'll be 79 in two months) these sorts of thoughts are very close to mine as I consider staying alive when in pain or becoming a nurtured vegetable to be obscene. Death as a choice has been demonized by some religious groups and others that unreasonably fear an absolute truth. Quantity, at any price vs. qualiity is a mug's game that offers no win.

I've often thought that dying as humans must do is not a very good system and maybe we could just vaporise into the atmosphere leaving no problems behind for others.... but this is becoming rather surreal now :)

There recently was a group selling a sort of "barrel" process that disolves the body after a while. The "goo" can then be used as fertiliser. Not appealing to most I'm sure, but it seems the right end for a cycle in which I've taken so much from the earth and should then be giving at least something back.
Using preservatives and rot proof coffins just seem totally bizare to me. Give back to the earth or at least donate your body to science or something useful. +1

As a perosn who has orchards that are organic I use a product called "blood and bone". It comes from an abattoir and uses all the bits that can't be utilised as food. What's strange and a waste is not using and recycling whatever we can, which includes our bodies. What's bizarre is preserving bodies and putting them in expensive boxes or freezing them. Imagine working in a place that's full of frozen dead bodies! What's the use or benefit of those practices? What's more natural than death? Cultural practices prey on those left behind and their fear of death. What's natural in all other animals is to live, die, and give back to the earth. That can also be a simple burrial anywhere with a tree planted over the spot. All the rest is cultural baggage that uses guilt and fear to make $$.

Oh my, I think you speak from the soul of many people. But many people are denied this for flimsy reasons. It is always said that you are independent, you decide. But that only applies as long as you are healthy and strong. If you are old and tired of life or terminally ill, then all this talk of self-determination is suddenly worth nothing!!! Great text!

Music fits the lyrics perfectly odd & a little spooky. Is it my device or is anyone else having the lyrics all run together?

I don't know why the lyrics show like that, it never happened in the past - I'm probably doing something wrong but I just copy/paste the words from my files :|
