Marc pointed me in the direction of this great template of his. It's been sat for a while so I couldn't resist a go! Quite a tricky one though. I decided on a swingy-but-gentle dance beat. The template itself does wander a little bit between swing and straight, so I opted to swing it throughout. I hope it works.

Another fine template, Marc. I hope you like it!

N.B. Please note I added an extra 2 bars count-in at the start if you use the HD download.

Sounds crisp and fluent to me. Excellent.

Thanks, Wade. When I read these sorts of comments it does make me wonder whether I'm overly critical of myself. But I can only ever hear my mistakes!

As you've hinted on other comments, that's probably the way lots of us listen to our own works. By focusing on the music initially you can give the best performance possible. After that...well it is what it is. It can be slightly technically flawed and still perfect from a listener's point of view.

All of us can "do better" and just become pickier. Listen back to things you did ten years ago...hopefully you're a lot better today. Didn't stop you then and shouldn't inhibit you now. If you're there "in the music" and committed, that's what people feel.

Never a truer word spoken!

Some fine horn-sections needed here, grooving bass and some vocals as they have in the band Incognito! :)

I'm sure alexj will insert some crazy bass which will make me pyt my bass back in the case (:
April 18 2015 11:30:20 Marceys Marceys
That would be cool ofcourse but see his play as some inspiration and learningcurve.... So jump in and play what you you feel! :)

When i listen his bass lines it's more like "wow, when i grow up i wanna play like this guy!" altough it seems i'm older than he is.

AlexJ ? Damn !! I hate that guy, he always makes me feel as if i picked the bass yesterday… :D :D
AMAZING bass player !!

You have chosen wisely...Perfect match up. We are our own worst critic. This is a great track, no one hears any mistakes, we are to busy enjoying the music.

Thanks! I'd love to hear a track I play on as a 'whole' - musician's curse, I suppose.
