Working on Wade's and Nuno's track earlier and the fact that it reminded me a bit of a Pink Floyd track got me thinking. So I had a rummage in my wardrobe for my Nick Mason hat.

This is just a slow, 65bpm pattern in the trademark simplistic style of Nick Mason. You can probably guess which song it's based on. Just a slow, hopefully solid, backbeat.

There's no real structure to it but the beat is the same throughout and any ...

Impeccable timing Martin! Really tight, solid track. It's hard to keep time for me on a slower tempo track. Great work! +1

mpointon Thank you! Have you noticed I've changed my kick sound? Taken all the padding out, leaving the pillow just resting against the rest head slightly! +1

wiseshanks Yes! Sounds a lot better in my opinion. More of a round tone yet still tight! +1

mpointon Thank you, MasterK. I'll do a forum thread for you as I can't go into it here. But I have to thank Wiseshanks for the kick drum sound - it's his advice on padding that improved it so much. +1

It's always very cool that there are drum templates! And this one is a winner again! +1

Great playing Martin - MaybeI'm thinking of a different track but it reminds me of Ol' Nicks playing on "Obscured By Clouds"? Close? will I "Have a Cigar"? ;) +1

mpointon The drums, in my head, were playing a cross between one of my favourites, 'Breathe', and 'Wish You Were Here'. But mostly Breathe. +0

Very similar to in my place by Coldplay. Great Recording Mpointon +1

Can you play the track player?

Start and stop, right? That's easy... if you do not have to drop your instrument while doing it.
Get to know the keyboard shortcuts and control the player without ever dropping your plectrum again.
Makes practice and jamming a cinch.
