What a beautiful soundscape that BigDaddyCee created to play over... the man is a legend !! I started my twiddlin' at about 1:30 ...hopefully I didn't overcook it. A little double tracking towards the end.....

mpointonmpointon Beautiful playing, Paul. Very Knopfler if I may say so.

Thanks Martin - That's always a compliment! I'm just trying to wean myself away from high gain!!

I know others mentioned Gilmour but from your first note I heard Mark Knopfler - that apparent muted picking (any finger picking at all?). The tone is perfect and your change at 2:23 possesses that signature style he has. Stunning playing. Utterly stunning.

Thanks Martin - I'm pretty sure the whole solo was finger pickin'

Hey Cee I had an extraordinary Monday evening brain fart: I put your original track's .WAV on one track in my DAW and inverted the tracks phase... I then put the WAV of the version with my guitar on another track. I mixed them lining up the wave transitions. The theory being that the output should be the difference between the 2 wav files - i.e. just my guitar! Jaysus It worked!!! ha ha ! . Beam me up Scotty :)
