Piper -many heavy metal "chicks" dont have the pipes. Some do, but not all....You however come from a background that perhaps isnt "teen agnst."The trick is confidence and 'tude. Metal is 99.999% 'tude. Honestly...I hear Amy Lee in your vocals. Thats a huge compliment.Singer for Eveanescence. Look up "Evanescence Imaginary "on Youtube. I think youll be amazed. Then look up "My Immortal".I honestly do . The 'tude has to ooze out of you. Metal is primial with lots of room to integrate jazz, rock, and lots of styles, but always wrap in a layer of 'tude.Just imagine you are Xena Warrior Princess and you are singing a melodic ode to the enemies you just beheaded in a bloodbath of sword on top a mountain.. Im not joking!Honestly Amy Lee sang Opera as a child...check out Imaginary and My Immortal by Evanescence.Immerse yourself in metal before doing it. You want to be wild woman capapble of dripping emotion of the pain of your heart, or beheading your foes or whatever else you are singing all metallicy.
