No Rusch
Fantastic Alex Lifeson meets EVH impression from Ake here. And I couldn't resist adding a spot of Rush-style drums. I'm no match for Neal 'The Professor' Peart but I know a few of his signature party tricks so thought I'd crack them open here. From his trademark busy ride pattern to his pushed cymbal punctuations to his fiddling around with time, I chucked 'em all in and saw what happened.

Excellent job. I had a friend in high school who was a drumming virtuoso. Peart was his hero and he could nail any Rush song. Needless to say there was a shortage of musicians that could play alongside him; he led a lonely life, LOL.

Neal Peart is possibly one of the most-copied and revered drummers. I actually find his playing a bit 'cold' but his precision and attention to detail is out of this world. But then I find Rush's music mostly leaves me cold, so it might be that!
Nevertheless, he one of the drummers I've nicked a lot of licks from over the years. +1

Thanks, PJE! Sadly not quite YYZ as the original is in 5/4 so I took a few liberties. I've probably done the morse code for Pyongang.
