A day of extremes. From my previous add to Kenny's complex and challenging prog template to Paul's impeccable and beautiful piece here. Both, oddly, equally difficult but for very different reasons.

Where Kenny's is precision, execution, speed and technical challenges all around, Paul's offers the complete opposite: a challenge to just sit and play a cool, straight groove without fills or diversions. Nothing should interfere with that beautiful bass line of his.

No anything, just straight time with the odd punctuation on the hi-hat. Believe me when I say this is just as challenging. An exercise in total restraint, remembering you're there to hold the time together, not be a feature.

And just as fun. I love tracks like this which challenge the very essence of *how* you play.

Enjoy.

No reverb on the HD drums.

aleonzaleonz you always take the song to the right direction Martin, and that's is make you an awesome drummer, you know when you gone wild and laid back, you really listen to the track, and know what it needs...

Thanks, Paul. Fabulous template, as always but I love the sheer simplicity, focussing on quality rather than prowess. As I say, this presents its own challenges based on how to support a track. Keep 'em coming. Please! :)
