First off: My apologies for my recent absence. Just stuff. Lots of just, well... stuff. New job, etc..

I've been itching to get back on here since before Christmas. I finally managed to get my kit set up to record this evening. I'm picking up my new, second kit in a couple of days so should be able to stay set up from now on.

Anyway, picked a couple of funky tunes to break myself back in gently with and this is a cracker from bru2401. Just hit record and jammed it to get warmed up. I went a bit nuts. Sorry. It's 'as-is' so there's a few mistakes in there. Now I'm set up, I should have more time for editing in the future.

Enjoy. And it's *soooooo* good to be back :) :) I've missed this place so much.

No reverb on the HD drums.

Do you know which snare you were using? Your bio/gear list is awesome! Thanks for all the detail. Drummers wanna know. :)

Thanks, benjamm! Listening to it, it's definitely my vintage Ludwig 400 (my snare of choice). I'm on my Recording Custom kit for this recording.

Since I joind WL I've been battling with getting a good recording - getting there.

I do have some YouTube vids of both kits in action if you're interested: https://www.youtube.com/user/MrSoaringMan

And I see you're after a Pearl Reference kit! Good luck with that! I looked into them and played a couple but the price tag was eye-watering! They made DW look like cheap saucepans!
