1st jam with shwagir...pretty awesome eclectic piece... channeled my inner Omar Hakim! off to vacation tomorrow, jammed this out before I had to pack...enjoy...see you next month!

A very good piece of Omar it is too! This is excellent play, RP3! Excellent, fluid lines performed cleanly and accurately. Not easy with odd-meter music.

This is a *very* good add. Many thumbs for sure.

...and yes the Hakim sound, heavy reverb funk! 80's style, also sounds like Phil Collins (prefer his drums to his singing)...i regress...

Agreed. I'm a huge Phil Collins fan. Just not of his singing! But as a drummer, he was one of the most inspirational players to come out of the '70s for me.

A truly distinctive player. And Omar Hakim too: I've always respected him for his total combination of groove and technical precision - one of the lucky few who has it all for me.
