Slap funky bass line following the Martin drums beat and the groove jam with a little exercise triplet slap between 2.40 to 2.49 min

mpointonmpointon Oh man. Two takes. Same tune. Both superb. This is brilliant, Glez - really love the syncopated Disco vibes in your riff.

kennyadrykennyadry Now that slap me on the face! It sounded like some of Michael Jackson's song I just couldn't recall! Excellent bass playing Mario :)

Thanks Pudsy, of course the bass is also important, mine is a Marcus Miller Bass Sire V7, a marvel for the price of aquisition

Nice Glez .. well you certainly have your own tone that is full and rich, I noticed your tone as soon as I joined wikiloops. :)

I know it's not easy, haha ... it's not one of my best techniques .. you are getting good at it. I find it hard to record it well too.

It is not easy to run or record the slap to sound good, if it's my recording technique is the next without ever saturate the signal at the thud of slap on the serious note: double line signal on a channel from the amplifier XLR input with compressor effect and a clean signal at the input jack of my sound card. EQ: bridge pickup, treble open, midtones open and low tone to sound like (in my case 50% to avoid saturating signal), and of course a precise and loving touch mute strings on the fretboard

Thank you for the recording tips ... I need to play with it some I know and I have to get a decent xlr cable myself ... I have one but it's a terrible cable and noisy.

After experimenting with many recording techniques, to my taste is double input signal audio card (with effects and clean), and I forgot to tell you that this past XLR input with a DI box injection
