The first of three recordings I got done today. A spot of 3/4 goodness. Or 6/8 if you halve the tempo....

Anyway, this template is a product of a recent earworm I've be suffering and is based on a track I did with a band I was with in the '90s. It's ballad time in 3/4; a gentle ticking snare pattern, switching to the ride for the choruses. For those of you who are of a Brit background, the original song I based this track on was recorded in Mark Lusardi's studio in London. His sister is Linda Lusardi. Although that must mean you read The Sun. This recording demonstrates two things for me:

1) My mic arrangement isn't best for brushes although I have no idea how to improve it.
2) I need new brushes. Mine kept knotting and getting stuck together whilst I played this track through. It did not help keeping the notes consistent. Ho hum.

No reverb on HD download.

GBDGBD Sounds outstanding as all your tracks. Check out “ Regal Tip XL “ Brushes.

I will do. My current brushes are some generic brand ones I've had since Noah thought, "hmm, looks like rain. I think I'll build a boat." Was thinking either Pro-Mark or Vic Firth ones but I'll add Regal Tip to my list!

“ Vic Firth live wires “ has tiny beads on the end of each wire it gives it a louder scratch and more sound on the cymbals. But beware it lift little marks on my cymbals. But there nickel plated Gen 16 don’t know about standard bronze.

WadeWade So self critical! The downloads still happen and we still enjoy. Did Michelangelo complain about his brushes?
