This is a cover of Way Back to the Bone by 70s funk rock band Trapeze. That band had Mel Galley on Guitar, Glenn Hughes on Bass/Vocals, and Dave Holland on Drums. I am a big Glenn Hughes fan, and Mel Galley was a really good guitar player, so the original is hard to beat, but this is a great cover. Jake E Lee is an awesome guitar player, and Chris Logan on vocals covers Glenn admirably:

Wow this has to be the best cover song I have heard and they do it live and it is not an easy song to sing, have had the pleasure of seeing them live once, at the end of the concert they turned off the PA and played without a mic for 1400 people fantastic.

Heard this one yesterday as the closing song (during the credits) of the movie https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/My_Life_as_a_Courgette - original and covers are described in https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Le_vent_nous_portera :

Oh, before I forget - here's one for the bass players and singers again. Lars Danielsson and Cæcilie Norby on one from David Bowie:

Shameless self-promotion as yours truly is on drums, but I should mention this cover. A version of Gary Numan's 'Cars'. This was done as a charity thing and the band was made entirely of members of the Lotus car club (hence the Lotus Elise in the video and numerous in-jokes). The video was edited by the lead singer who is on the left in the video. His day job is working for The Mill who are better known for doing the SFX for Doctor Who, etc., hence the production values are pretty good...

I appear in the video for about half a second at 2:19...
