I'm very sorry Aito, that's my fault because I said (in my song) that people could post in their own language. I think in a diary you should be allowed to do that. You shouldn't read people's diaries anyway :( I look forward to threads in other languages, I like the idea actually :) (being multi-lingual as I am :D)
By the way I translated the Finnish and enjoyed reading it, gave me a better idea about your character and what you do. Thanks for your support too.

it's early morning of the 7th, remembering the 6th:
*need coffee badly
*had to separate the dogs, with one in heat, Gizmo is crazy. need to get Gertie fixed, no more procrastinating
*translated some posts from Finnish to English, good stuff :)
*work was work
*saw the golden globes the other night, clips of it, made me realize I haven't watched much of anything. wanted to see Nikki Glasers opening monologue and it was good, not like her roast-worthy acts but still funny. she also looks like she got some work done, I don't know, you're pretty as you are Nikki
*well my football is not in the playoffs, was a disappointing year. playoffs start over the weekend, some good matchups to watch
*I can't believe it's tax season again, already getting notices and stuff. I hate it :@
*why is it when I don't need the scissors, they are right there, and when I do need them, I can't find them?

* This morning I was walking along a quiet, narrow footpath that leads to the shops. Suddenly I heard footsteps behind me.... getting closer. I half looked behind and saw a big guy, should I stop and let him pass or should I walk quicker ?
I sped up.... but so did he.... I half looked around again but the Sun was in my eyes so I couldn't see his face.... he was really close, I couldn't stop now it was very awkward.
Then a voice from behind shouted "I'm not going to mug you" and he laughed. I didn't think a mugger or rapist would say that and he sounded pleasant so I answered him with a nervous laugh...
After that we walked together to the shops chatting about nature and politics and whatever. We parted and he wished me a good day. I just thought this was a funny happening so I'm filling my diary with this anecdote today :)

A little warmer this morning, 42deg when I woke up at 6.30am Nothing on the agenda today except to split more wood for the stove and enjoy the sun.
Decaf coffee and toast with home made plum jam for breakfast.:W
I'm inspired to write a new song after watching a Documentary about my country hero Merle Haggard last night, such a cool history of his life and times. Was happy to find out that his original boxcar childhood home was moved to Kern County Historical museum for renovation just before he died. Hope to visit it some time.
Having been a fan of his for most of my life and a California resident since 1979, I really enjoyed this nostalgic flashback and feel fortunate that I got to see him perform live many times in the 80s and 90s in California and Nevada.
I'm really enjoying Shamika's Diary thread, hoping more will participate in the coming days.
Translating! No problem! I speak two languages... American and Cockney! :o:D

Don't worry, I'm not going to write in Finnish. That previous message in Finnish was just a one day joke, based on Shamika's song😁
A forum for Finnish speakers 🙂 It would be quite a lonely group. I think I've met 3 people besides myself on Wikiloops who speak Finnish. 🙂
Which is strange on the other hand, because there are a lot of bands and musicians in Finland who play rock and heavy music. 🤔

Lol you never know... I had a search for Finnish members, there are a few active ones, but also some new users, who knows maybe you can engage to them.
Finland and also Norway have a very active metal scene, I always find it funny that Skandinaviens that I met are usually very reserved and quiet, but when it comes to music its :W :O :W :D :D :D

I don't need to talk to Finns. When I discovered Wikiloops, this was the first place on the internet in a long time where people are polite. For example, I never post on Facebook forums because people act like jerks there.
You are right that the Finns are silent. On the other hand, silence is not a problem for us. :) It's okay not to say anything. :)
On the other hand, this is not true either, Finns talk much more nowadays. My grandfather's generation was very quiet and did not say anything extra, but today's young people are beginning to be like other Europeans.
Almost forgot to write in a diary.
I woke up tired (Too much Netflix). Fortunately, a few cups of coffee will save a lot.
I also went to the gym even though my abs were sore. This is a good thing, because it proves that I have abs under this big belly. I didn't settle for a six pack, I got a whole barrel on my body.
This is promise, i'am trying to stop eating chocolate because I'm really heavy guy. 120KG is too much. :D
In the evening I do is as always, I play bass. :W

Wildfires devastate Los Angeles, Jimmy Carter's body lies in state in Washington, another memorable January day in the continuing life of the USA.
Meanwhile Jamie Oliver's cooking chicken on TV, I'm on my second cup of decaf and the sun's rising up over the foothills in Madera County, life goes on folks!

It's been music, music, music all day today.
* Drawn in by Hartmut's title Li la lu, I did a quick remix with some odd lyrics "Do you mind me asking"
* Bought a new Bluetooth headset from Aldi (cheap) but later found out I couldn't make it work so I'll take it back tomorrow.
* One of my youtube channels has been fairly dormant, I've renamed it several times with ideas including Collaborations - Football songs - Kids songs - Covers, but I've never got many plays. So I thought I'd try something different - I've called it "Silence Please" and uploaded a video called "One minute's silence" all you'll hear is me breathing for one minute :) I'll let you know how it goes :D
* DanDiplo posted an instrumental that I liked so I downloaded it - I was amazed to find later that it fitted perfectly with a song I had produced before, so I fiddled around and came out with something I'll upload in the morning... if I still like it in the morning :)
It's really hard limiting myself to just one remix a day, being a vocalist and a speedy lyricist it doesn't take me long to do them. It must be so much harder for instrumentalists :(

You know which sort of people you'll attract to that :D
Anyway, here is my dairy which I named
"The Herring King Diary - the story of the musical Giant Oarfish A.K.A. the "Doomsday Fish"
*did not sleep last night (im a fish, fish don't sleep. They rest but eyes are open. Also, being royal, I am afraid of assassinations.)
*swam around looking for krill
*ate 50 Krills
*swam around some more, keeping an eye out for plankton
*ate plankton
*swam around looking for earthquakes, in case I need to announce the doom by surfacing. Luckily no earthquakes. No doom surfacing today.
*swam about 100 meters to there
*swam back
*Ate some crustaceans.
*It was a good day.
Coming to think of it, it was exactly the same as yesterday
...or last week
...or last month
...heck, it's like groundhog day the wet version :O

still reeling a bit from last nights playing. I`ve got this list of tracks for which I`ve got ideas in my head but don`t yet have the right sounds or need to practice a particular phrase to make it work. There`s this track by Nick and Lenny for which I need some really fast runs on the keyboard. Spent two hours, got better, but nowhere good enough to even start recording. Quite proud of myself for not resorting to midi and manipulation.

A funeral, a wildfire and a cheese omelet sandwich accompany my morning coffee.
Split screen left side, flame's are still raging in the hills near Hollywood kicking up new spot fires from wind blown embers as helicopters drop water trying to protect nearby buildings.
Right screen, President Jimmy Carter being transported from the capitol building to Washington National Cathedral in a black limousine. The sound of the cathedral's choir can be heard over the constant commentary. Somehow my sandwich and coffee have disappeared with no recollection of consuming them.

*saw lots of vids on X about these fires, so crazy. with everyone owning a cell phone, it's amazing how disasters are shown instantly, sorta puts you right in it :o
*awaiting the coffee to be completed so I can grab a cup
*been trying to learn and mix metal music, the lower guitars are messing with my ears, will watch some more YouTube vids and play around with tracks
*I had this pastry at Starbucks that was really good, like a croissant style bar, sorta interwoven, with pecans and with a slight glaze, similar to a pecan pie crossed with that baklava honey/sweetness, surprisingly good. reminded me the items from the French Bakery in Fresno (La Boulangerie)
*didn't record any guitar, but did jam a little to a drum track from PJE
*even though I'm not looking for one, I always browse the local ads for guitars...you never know:)

I've been making the song all afternoon. Normally I like mixing, but not today. The fun ends when mixing goes wrong and you don´t know how to fix your mistakes.
Well, soon I'll be able to upload it to Wikiloops.I know I'll forget the pain of mixing right away.
By the way, today is my third day without candy. My body feels strangely light. I think I'll eat some bacon to clog my blood vessels a bit. This kind of healthy feeling is not normal. :D
