Weather has warmed a little, which means in Northern Scotland it's now pissing down with rain instead of snowing.....at least no more -15c temps.....brrrr!
Attempted to fix wife's electric wheelchair by swapping out the power module with another I had cannibalised for parts....no joy, much scratching of head.
Dropped off spare car key at the garage so they can rule out programming issues with my car.
Played a little bass and guitar...much noodling but nothing worthy of recording.
Tea is now in the oven, will probably finish watching House of Cards (the vastly superior British Original, not the Spacey one)

Rye bread and eggs for breakfast, after that I went to the gym.
In the afternoon, I spent some time reading a book about Simo Häyhä. The book is boring, because the author doesn't have much to write about. Simo was a quiet man who didn't talk about war.
In the evening I downloaded from tonehunt everything about Darkglass. I found a preamp that I really like!
(I cursed a little bit, when I saw what Darkglass' products cost. Fortunately, Tonehunt is free).

* First thing this morning I listened to the remix I did last night - it was awful, just as I predicted. When you are close to something and never stand back you lose the ability to be critical.
* Was sad when Baerenkind asked what happened to my Lederhosen song because he'd mixed drums to it.... I had already deleted it - I'll have to stop doing that :(
* Short of food in the house today but too lazy to go to the shop so my diet has been odd, anything I could find in a tin - I have some tinned food that's been with me through 5 house moves.
* I need to catch up on sleep tonight, last night I was so restless I got up at 1,30am and moved the bed to face a different way - it worked until 3.30am - Feng Shui again :)
Nice to see a new diarist today, keep it up everyone <3
Ooh, just remembered I found a pretty, Retro Pop song in my files so I spent a while making a lyrics video for it.

Same old crap on the tv regarding politics etc....have come to the conclusion long ago that the difference between our Government and a bucket of shite is the bucket...that's all...bah!
Finished House of Cards....yep, British original wipes the floor with the American one, no question....kind of like the Office, the US one is rubbish compared to UK original....and Shameless (I think a pattern is emerging here)
Weather is it's usual dreary self, though that strange yellow ball in the sky put in a brief appearance for a change.
Car still in the garage, this walking to the shops is getting really old really quickly
Did a setup on my Ernie Ball Musicman Silhouette with the usual pampering including lemon oil, wire wool and linseed oil....sounding and looking mint now...finally got round to strippng down and thoroughly cleaning bridge and trem block.
Actually had a go at playing it afterwards, but all the attention I lavished on it did sweet FA for ay inspiration...bah again!

I've been a little off with everything these last couple of days - making mistakes, unable to concentrate - indecision - sleeplessness - impulsively adding too many songs and videos - Bad diet - bad thoughts, grumpy, lazy and generally ....... crazy.
But this morning I opened the curtains and there was the reason - a big 'ol bright full moon illuminating the sky. So I revisited my "Moonatic" song, cut it in half and uploaded it today. The other song I uploaded was a remix which I named after FrankieJ who I really admire. Sadly after recording and re-writing it several times, I couldn't do it justice :(
I hope this bad stuff will pass soon.

*glad my ears and ability to identify wiki musicians hasn't diminished. i helped CrowzValle find a track and i was fairly certain (upon listen), like 99.9% certain it was JEF29730's guitar tone and style. perused a ton of jams from JEF and eventually found it. and JEF has some killer templates out there :o:W
*pancakes this morning with maple syrup
*almost pup cup time for the dogs
*family life has been draining for my significant other, just trying to be there for her and supportive as much as i can
*i need to find that can of electrical cleaner spray, some of my guitars just got some annoying buzz going on
*the truck needs brakes and tires, time to get something scheduled, not looking forward to the cost :o

-I tryed kung fu today. Just for fun, I don't have time for new hobbies.
-I also quickly made a song for Wikiloops, but I didn't publish it because it sounded bad.
-I ate some kind of pasta today. I didn't ask what the food was, I didn't dare. If my wife cooks, I politely keep my mouth shut and eat it.
- On Thursday, my sister is coming to visit. It's been a year since we last saw each other.
-I think I'll upload that bad-sounding song after all.

Loved your diary entry
:D :Y :D lol go for it. Did you do the tortured cat sounds I grew up with, watching those Bruce Lee movies?
Generally a wise decision. However, I tried eating with my mouth shut, it did not work. The food fell back on the plate B)
Man, I miss my big sister too, only get to see her once a year or so, too.
Go on, publish it, can't be that bad. Make sure to tell us in the text what you think happened.

Of course I did Bruce Lee voices. The basic course starts there. Everyone imagines being a cat for the first hour. In the second lesson, we learn the basics of flying, so that we can fly during combat like in the movies. :D
That song wasn't that bad. I just don't like doing things fast. Sometimes I spend 6 hours or more playing and recording a song. Yesterday I made a song quickly, I only spent two hours on it.
I admit that I spend too much time, but that's because I can't play or mix well. Well, I'm learning new things all the time, so in a year or two, things will be different. :):W
Today's diary:
- I feel old. Yesterday I practiced escrima and kung fu for a total of three hours. Even though the exercise was light, it made me realize in how bad shape i`am . However, I went to the gym today.
-I uploaded one song today.
-Next, I will continue reading about the Bass preamp pedals and does it make sound quality better when recording with an interface.

Jan 15th - I really wanted something nice to cheer me today as I wasn't feeling very sociable. I was looking forward to my football team starting a good run in the league, everyone was optimistic but they finished with another loss so we've almost dropped off the bottom now.
I haven't been out for 2 days and although I've started several songs, none got me fired up. Sometimes it feels like all the songs have been written and there's no combination of notes or lyrics left to use. Tomorrow I have to try harder to be a nicer person because you always get back what you put in.... don't you?

The diary looks more sparse that usual, I hope I haven't put a dampener on it with my dumb, glum blogging. Do you think it might be better to have a diary for each month. January, February etc. ?
* Still struggling to shake off the apathy.
* Did a remix on a medical theme :D People will think I'm either a druggie or a sex addict :) the lyrics
are quite ambiguous.
* Can you say you're dieting if you have one cookie less than normal? :(
* I keep finding great songs in my files, I start looking for one then get drawn in by another... but
they're all finished so no good for uploads here really.
* I found a file from 2012 when I entered a competition run by Neil Young to promote his Americana album. He was asking for covers of the songs he'd covered. I did 4 1) Clementine 2) This land is your land 3) God save the Queen and 4) High flyin' bird. the latter I liked so today I started making a vid for it. I didn't win by the way :(
* Remember last year I had a 'thing' making a noise in my attic.... well it has returned :o
Keep writing or join in I think your contribution is appreciated. <3

In the morning I had a blood test. I hate those little needles.
The afternoon went wrong because of a headache. sleep and caffeine helped a lot.
My sister's train arrived in Kuopio at 18:30
We last saw each other a year ago.
I'm not making music this weekend

I stayed outside all day yesterday in the 7°F weather watching the trees that fell on our houses from the ice storm get removed. Went to bed with a runny nose. Didn't sleep at all last night, developed into a full head cold. And now I've slept all day. Awake now and don't wanna be. Lol

I did not post because the days of the past week were very very similar steady and pleasantly boring routine:
*Woke up
*drove to work
*worked
*drove home (or the gym on alternating days)
*drove home
*ate tasty stuff that Mrs. Gee made
*watched the footy or youtube or a series or whatever we fancy
*listen to Wikiloops tracks, do wikiloops stuff
*go to bed dreaming of the weekend
That's it. Rinse and repeat for weekdays

I get that TeeGee, it's been much the same for a few diarists I believe.
You know, a journal isn't exclusively to record what you did, especially if you do the same thing regularly. Think of a dull day as an opportunity to record what you thought, what you observed or what you plan to do.
OMG, I'm starting to sound like a teacher or a shrink :) Thanks for being around whatever you say.<3
PS, I for one am always interested in Mrs. Gee's cooking :D

Down with the flu for the past couple of days, which for a man means that it feels like I've played my last chords and am about to meet the great synth in the skies. But slowly feeling better again.
Used the time to listen to tons of WL tracks. Maybe not the best idea as it got me thinking about limitations of sequential track creation. There are so many in particular early tracks that seem to be missing key changes, changes in tempo etc. Unable to complete my thought process as my two braincells have opted to go on vacation.
Took my last ounces of strength to sit at the keys yesterday evening and record some adds for 3(!) tracks. Those will go nicely with the other 37 unfinished tracks I've laying around.

* Finally got out of the house today, I wanted to go further but it was too cold and dull.
I live between a huge graveyard and a school - The graveyard is always deserted but I like walking there because it's quiet with paths all over - if it wasn't for the dead people it would be just like a park with trees and flowers :) - Walking past the school is the complete opposite, kids running aimlessly around and high pitched screaming for no reason :(
* I always cut my own hair when it gets long (I never use a hairdressers) then I immediately regret it and grow it back, takes about a year. It's long now but today I had the scissors in my hand....... thank goodness I saw sense.

My face is leaking everywhere and I'm hugging a box of Kleenex. Everything hurts. I fear I may meet you in the great synth in the skies. Hang in there and may we both live to jam another day. 🤧🥹 Hope you feel better soon!
