Gig during Covid
We had a gig today in a club where normally 600 people fit in. But we did the gig with only 30 people sitting at tables....still a good time though.... :)

Marceys Strange things, think it will be the last gig for the next weeks... the Covid is spreading again in our areas.... lockdown is showing allready.... +1

Marceys Yeah, totally crowded areas! And the applaus of 30 people is hurting the ears big time too! +1

Dick the picture has that "this is not going to work" between the lines message, I can't help it. This will not keep any professional musician or venue owner alive, either, if tickets dont cost 200€ each... hope you'll enjoy anyways, who knows, maybe one can cultivate the weirdness in some funny way... have a go :) +1

Marceys We had our money.... but these gigs get subsidy by the government to keep these events alive! +0

Wade Lot of space! I hope the venue can make enough $$ to keep open. Great setup with a big stage, lighting etc.+1

Marceys Yeah, the gig was sold out within an hour! Hahaha....... these gigs get subsidy by the government otherwise it wouldn’t work indeed! It’s a great stage with great audio! :) +1

PaulBOwens Best of luck with the gig.... it will be a long time before we see this in IRL.... and at my age (I'm an old codger) I seriously think that maybe I've played my last live gig...I got 40 great years out of this love story so I have lots to be grateful for... I'm focused on home recording and practicing again.+1

Marceys I highly appreciate home recording and improving too! But i also like to gig as well! The live feeling together with others are magic moments! +1

bvveen That's De Gigant. I played there once about 15 years ago with a World Music project. It's a good thing you can play live again although it's not a packed house as usual. In Suriname gigs are not allowed yet. I do not know when it's going to change. We still have 2 times a week band practise and are working on an album to use our time in a good way and stay in shape. The more I read myself into this Covid situation the more I get convinced we are hugely misled by our governments.+1
