Funk Disco
Yet another fantastic slab of funk groove from Kenny. I'm surprised there's been no adds to it - I expected people to be all over it.
Anyway, went all-out at it and, surprisingly for me, did it in one take and with no real edits needed. There's a couple of dodgy timing moments but they didn't warrant fiddling with. Went for a hybrid disco feel - four-on-the-floor kick drum and accented off-beats usually associated with disco on the hi-hat but used ...

Man!! You!!! Okay there are some things worth mentioning..
First, you focus on the rhythm guitar's tempo - my guitar on the left side is sometimes out of tempo..and what you did almost remove my serious tempo mistake focusing solely on the rhythm! You are a Technical Genius!!!
Second - Although I expected a disco drumming, but You went far better from my expectation, a mix of disco, and some parts exploits of ghost notes, and then heavy drumming (lack of term) -EVERYTHING IS PERFECT!!!
I watch you're videos, and you've got lot's books man! You are a total drum nerd :D +2

Thanks, Kenny. :) This was one fast tune! (By the way, I just remembered, the correct tempo is 131bpm!) I could've just done a standard disco beat but there was something that bit more funky that needed exploiting to give it more motion.
The books and the room aren't mine - I record in my father's music room. Apart from the drums and the Mac, everything in there doesn't belong to me! +1

Thanks, Wiseshanks. I forget who asked for them but never mind. I thought it would be a bit of fun to let people into my recording world.
