About this album

Als ich Ostern zu Zeiten des ersten Corona-Lockdowns kurz im Krankenhaus gelegen habe (nichts ernstes) hatte ich Zeit ohne Ende und habe sie genutzt ein wirklich tolles Buch über die Menschheitsgeschichte zu lesen. Unter diesem Einfluss habe ich den Song "Jäger & Sammler" geschrieben. Schnell entstand die Idee ein ganzes Album zum Thema "Homo Sapiens, sein Leben und Wirken" zu machen. Nun 9 Monate später sind die 14 Songs im Kasten ... puuh, war ein ganz schönes Stück Arbeit. Wer an den Texten zu den einzelnen Stücken interessiert ist, kann sich zu den jeweiligen Songs klicken, hier fehlt einfach der Platz dafür. Übersetzungen vom deutschen ins englische findet ihr praktischerweise dort gleich auch

Tausend Dank an all die tollen Musiker die auf dem Album vertreten sind, ihr habt mich echt inspiriert und ohne euch gäbe es dieses Album nicht. Herzlichen Dank auch speziell an Wade der mir für eine ganze Menge Songs hier auf dem Album Saxophonspuren zur Verfügung gestellt hat die ich nach Gutdünken schneiden und bearbeiten durfte, das war eine Premiere für mich, ich hoffe es gefällt dir.
Ein ganz spezieller Dank geht an AKchen ohne die ich voll aufgeschmissen gewesen wäre. Sie hat bei jedem einzelnen Song viele Stunden mit dem Abmischen des Gesangs verbracht. Sie hat wirklich ein Händchen dafür (ganz im Gegensatz zu mir). Vielen lieben Dank auch an meinen Neffen Marius ( CrazYo ) der bei "umweltkatastrophe" und "quintessenz" ebenfalls an den Reglern mitgemischt hat.
Las but not least ein riesen Dankeschön an Dick, der durch seinen unermüdlichen Einsatz diese Seite ins Leben gerufen hat, und am Leben erhält. Kurzum ein grosses Dankeschön an euch alle, ich hoffe das Album gefällt.

When I was briefly in hospital at Easter at the time of the first corona lockdown (nothing serious), I had endless time and used it to read a really great book about human history. It was under this influence that I wrote the song "Hunters & Gatherers". The idea quickly arose to make a whole album on the subject of "Homo Sapiens, his life and work". Now 9 months later the 14 songs are in the box ... phew, it was quite a piece of work. A thousand thanks to all the great musicians who are represented on the album, you really inspired me and without you this album wouldn't exist. Many thanks also especially to Wade who provided me with saxophone tracks for a lot of songs here on the album, which I was allowed to cut and edit as I saw fit, that was a first for me, I hope you like it.
A very special thanks goes to AKchen, without whom I would have been completely lost. She spent hours mixing the vocals on every single song. She really has a knack for it (unlike me). Many thanks also to my nephew Marius (CrazYo) who also worked on the controls for "environmental catastrophe" and "quintessenz".
