... after five more long nights on the code,
using firebug and google page speed to analyze the site,
another update has been issued today.
As you will notice, I have changed the head selection of the loopsearch page a bit, and the font of textareas has changed.
What you may not notice is that the whole serverside setup of wikiloops has changed in order to save your browser the bandwidth best used to stream great music from wikiloops.
To be honest, not logged-in visitors are rofiting most from this update, for the member related functions require a lot more code than the plain visitor front end.
So finally, the quickest pages show a 98 of 100 speed result (used to be around mid sixties before).
Validated the whole .css and added caching for qicker load of images, wich now mostly come in so called sprites. If you dont know what a sprite is besides the well nown drink, dont feel bad, neither did I until a few days ago :)

Hope you'll notice the slight speed change when logged on, too,
have a good time fellas, and lave feedback if theres any problems.

WikiLoops is the perfect place to exercise your instruments and share the results with the other musicians. It may even really help to turn yourself into a more experienced musician over time.
