today i went to the dump, and a dump i did. got rid of some trash and general crap that was taking up space outside. the dump is so dirty. we sure do accumulate a lot of junk/trash over time.

looking forward to going out of town this upcoming weekend. taking my youngest, who will be 21, out for some wine tasting and general fun <3

Wednesday 16th July.

OK, I said I had given up on my football team LCFC after they sunk into a lower division last season with manager Ruud van Nistelrooy. But I'm interested again because of the news I heard today. "Leicester have appointed Marti Cifuentes as their new manager"
So now we have a Spanish manager and I believe that Country know a thing or two about how to play football.

Apart from football, I have been feeling quite arty today writing Zen type lyrics to go with Krasimir's lovely new 'thinking' song. I doubt it will appeal to many wikiloopers but there might be a couple of poetic types who will give it a spin.

Remember Loopers, it's not all about the finished product here.... it's about the joy of creation and sharing with likeminded peers.

PS I have some more novelty mixes picked out for later in the week. Now it's time for a cuppa and chill-out TV - I've been watching repeats of MASH... such a cleverly written script and touching storylines. <3

Been very quiet lately as I'm dealing with some serious health issues in the family. Last time it happened I at least got to entertain staff and patients on a piano they had at the hospital (plus I recorded parts of a track there). But that would be inappropriate in the ICU and my heart isn't in it anyway.

But between visits to the hospital and swearing at the moon I do listen to every new track on Wikiloops just to cling on to some positive emotions.

i picked up my pink guitar (the pink lady) from the guitar tech today. enjoyed playing it and the floyd rose on it feels more dialed in than before. very happy to have found a local guy who does some guitar work. i had to bring it to work as it was on my way. most at work don't know i play guitar so lots of stares :D:D

Friday 18th July.

I seem to be fallowing sad posts lately.
I have become a little addicted to sharing my music this week, it's so hard to pick just one song to upload each day, especially as I'm a very eclectic song producer with no genre out of bounds.
But wikiloops is my only addiction, honestly. These days I live by the rule of "Moderation and Variety" in everything. However when I was much younger I remember being hooked on toffee that was sold in broken pieces.... especially dark treacle. I had so much of it that my teeth were rotten by the time I was 21. I also used to suck Barley sugar sticks and Seaside rock so it's not surprising.
I was thinking of this when I wrote the song I just uploaded today which is about an addictiction to sweet things, but in my song it's just a sweet guy.
I have also been addicted to TV shows in the past. I used to watch Australian soaps 3 times a day (I still can't do an OZ accent) - fortunately I haven't watched any 'soaps' for years.
The England Women's football team won last night in the Euros, but it took extra time and a lot of missed penalty kicks to do it. I don't like watching girls playing football so much as men, especially when they have to keep stopping to fix their hair ... but some men do that too I suppose :D

I don't think I'll be wikilooping over the weekend so I'll see you on Monday... have a good one, Sham x

-That pink guitar made me think about what color bass guitar I would buy if all colors were available. I would definitely want a yellow one with a little bit of black. I've always liked that combination of two colors.
Well, I'm poor, so I have to be happy that I even have some kind of bass guitar. :)

-Summer has finally come to Finland. It has been a cold summer, but now there's been a change.
It's a shame that I cant't go the music festival in Kuopio next week, as the weather would be perfect for listening to music and drinking beer. Well, on the other hand, my wife is going with her cousin, so I wouldn't even want to be there listening to their gossiping and giggling. :D

-I've gained weight. :(
My punishment is that have to look at my big belly since I'm shirtless. Maybe I just have to suffer humbly during the heat, because the body of a man my age is not beautiful. :D

I watched a lot of that guy's videos a few years ago. He made good and funny versions of familiar songs. I had already forgotten the guy, but maybe I should look for his old videos on YouTube. 🙂

This one is a hairy subject. I got the CSNY album "Deja VU" as a used copy from a guy in my community as a present in 1983 or whereabouts, and it hasn't been off my playlist ever since. Especially this song "almost cut my hair" spoke to me. I never was a hippie, but ever since I was 10 I wanted to have the long hair :). The minute I escaped from parental supervision at the age of 16, I let it grow. I only had to take a serious hair cut in 1984, but since then it stayed long I am lucky that I still got a fair bit of it, although who know for how long. Old age is creeping up on me. :W :W :W
