Recently I read here that TeeGee chopped into his finger and now Wolfgang is on crutches and on another thread someone had a bereavement, each time, I feel we should have a more suitable emoji for sympathy or support because it seems wrong to add a "Thumbs up!" to sad posts.

Shamika, you could do a deep dive into the forum, a few years ago Dick came up with the idea of creating new ones, so I did this :J <W and Navota did :-- and :Z. I am sure if you do a new one Dick will be able to add it. Check it out

I've used your examples in Shout before, they are great :W

But let me explain better - I know there are sad emojis - crying, hugging, caring etc ... but to use those you have to make a new thread post each time. The only integrated/automatic reaction to a post is a Thumbs up now, unless I'm mistaken. No big deal however ;)

Don`t know if it`s just a phase but the spontaneous `grab a track, do your thing and upload it` doesn`t provide the kick it used to.
Or rather, that particular kick is not enough on its own.

I think I`m in need of something more in the line of jointly working together on tracks, working on arrangements, having more interaction.

At the same time – what a contrast – I`ve started to look at creating sounds and music for films. Not publicly, more in the sense of experimenting what works and what doesn`t (and why). Working on 20-40 second snippets is a challenge but also fun.

Maybe this has been triggered or reinforced by recent posts from Joe and Shamika but I feel that what Joe called `you do yours and I do mine` only takes me so far on my journey and certainly not far enough into the unknown.

Hmm, deep thoughts for a wednesday morning.

Wed 29th April. April/May are my favourite months, not too hot, not too cold. Trees dressed in pretty pink and white blossom. Birds singing love songs from on high. Neighbours mowing lawns, filling our noses with that fresh grassy scent. People start to throw off warmer clothes and look up rather than down at their hurrying heavy boots. There are strawberries in the shops.... and now my foot is much better I can go for longer, more energetic walks and not feel so guilty for eating cake and chocolate and watching rubbish repeats on the TV when I couldn't get out :D Happy days <3

Thursday 30th April

Today I want to talk about butterflies. I've been watching 2 white butterflies flying close together around and around my garden. I thought it must be some mating ritual and I was right. Sometimes these delicate creatures are 'at it' for hours.

I know that a butterfly only lives for a few days but their whole raison d'etre is to produce more butterflies. For the very first humans, reproducing was paramount but over time this has not become the only reason to live - even without progeny we can all live happy fulfilled lives :)

Then this afternoon I saw a lone white butterfly sitting on a flower in the Sunshine before shooting up into the air with careless abandon, no worries, he'd had his fun earlier so he could just enjoy what little time he had left.

I thought we should appreciate our own relatively short lives and take in all the wonderful sights and sounds available to us. Instead we tend to moan and get stressed, we gossip and get angry. We have to work to earn money but we often spend it on things we don't really need. We waste precious time beating ourselves up instead of loving what we are, what we have and what we do.:(

On a side note, apparently seeing a white butterfly is considered significant in a spiritual and metaphorical way. They are pure, full of light and they signify change and healing. People who encounter a white butterfly after a bereavement may feel that it's the soul of a loved one returning to comfort them.

So my wordy message here is that we are all transient butterflies at heart and we should enjoy as much purity and wonderfulness as we can <3
