Dub Poop
A challenging track here from Piper, if not because of the arrangement. I had to program in two bars of 2/4 to put the patterns in the right-feeling position in my sequencer. Hey ho.
Went for a slow dub-style beat but nicking some tricks I saw Steve Gadd do once. The beat is played slowly but interspersed with a sudden doubling of tempo between the hi-hat and snare courtesy of the old friend the paradiddle. Hopefully it gives the 'dub effect' ...
