Biography

What is there to tell? ... Sucidal Tendencies and CroMags showed me the way. I've been playing since I was a teenager. Back then, as someone who didn't have any skills, it seemed a good idea to pick up a 4-string side instrument.

Then I had a bass teacher who was a waste of his ambition teaching me slap style. At some point I just jumped on it. It was big back then thanks to my heroes Robert Trujillo and Art Liboon (Mordred, great bassist and underrated in my opinion), then it was frowned upon and now it dominates parts of metal again thanks to Harley Flanagan (!, I didn't get it back then but he did) and Fieldy. Apart from that I feel quite comfortable with the Plek. I play 5-string all the time (Dingwall, Gibson), drop tuning for a long time, have now returned to standard B tuning and continue to flirt with F# tuning. I just love this music, always distorted and powerful.

There was a time when it was an urge to be on stage. Then the singer went back to the USA and I changed location. No perspective, nothing useful found, shift of interests. The bass stood around for a while until my old guitarist followed me and knocked on the door one day... ...then I discovered the loops. You know the rest.
