Fighting The Sleep
A toughie this one from Marc. Struggled with decisions because playing straight through would've worked well. But he asked what drummers would do with it so here goes...
Went for what is basically a samba in the up-tempo section, phrasing[ish] with his piano line then falling into a backbeat before the punctuations.
For the quieter sections it was tempting to go into half time but it felt like the track lost all its drive when I did that. So I kept it ...

Martin!!! We are so privileged with drummers like you! Your approach gave the track a great feel and the dynamics got me dancing! I was affraid that my play to only a clicktrack would make it flat but your drums changed that real good!
I really like your change of rhythm between the two parts, it gave a fantastic feel!
Thanks for your music Martin! :) give it up for the bass now! :) +3

Outstanding. The time and effort certainly shows. Man you can be a perfectionist in the best of ways: crisp, articulate, giving drama and feel.

Total blast to listen to Martin, I don't know if I could try something on this before vacation but honestly this is some "High Level" technical music.
And Agree with Marc, your approach and purposal on his keys is another musician's performance from you +1
