Thank you for such a great performance! I am improving my mixing skills, and this track is so wonderful to listen to (and work on)... Unfortunately, the cymbals were not available to me as a separate file, so I did my best to mix with what original tracks were there to download. Please let me know if there is anything to improve the mix. Hope you would like it though. =)

Sounds great to me. I'm pretty confident your mixing skills are better than mine. Open to pointers on my end:W:D +1

wishnewsky This is awesome! Thank you, Fish - your saxophone playing is quite badass!!! As for mixing, I am learning it for several years already and it feels like I'm still at the beginning of the journey. Hence, there will be no pointers =D +1

Fishinmissio No wonder I suck..lol. I never got schooled, nor read the book.:| +0

wishnewsky Don't blame yourself or I will get depression about not playing any brass or woodwinds (or drums, for that matter) ; )

The most valuable and universal mixing advice I had so far, is to make your ears rest frequently. Also, room treatment matters a lot, and much more than speakers themselves.

Self-educating on YouTube is all that I do, and it really helps a lot - there is high competition between people who teach stuff, so the overall level is pretty solid to count on. "Rick Beato" channel is awesome (as many-many others)!
