I was trying to get fun while testing some tasty effects on my bass. On my DAW for this track: * Focusrite Red 2 EQ * Avid Flanger (preset jelly) * Softube Saturation Knob * Focusrite Red 3 Compressor

Cool! And you have a Focusrite as well... I don't use these Red and other plugins because I'm on Linux - but they do sound good! :) :Y :W +1

magirtiko Thank you :)

Yes, the plugins work fine but are not so easy to setup ... I don't Know if I definitively found 'my sound' already

wjl Normally I don't use much on my bass besides a compressor - and sometimes (like in bass noodles 2) an amplifier/cabinet simulation (Ampeg SVT from the Guitarix project).
I do occasionally use a chorus and a bit of reverb on my fretless, but on a separate track in the DAW, so I can mix between wet & dry even later on...

magirtiko I sometimes use BIAS AMP 2 to simulate some amplifier, but since I use Pro Tools First to record I can't use the BIAS plugin :-/

What do you use to record your bass?

Tnx :-)

wjl I use https://ardour.org/ - on Linux it's free, for a compiled version for Windows or Mac you pay like a meal or so... for Windows I also tried Reaper, and it's great :) +1

magirtiko Good! I'll follow your advice and I'll give Reaper a chance!

Thank you again :)
