Thank you, khangurumc. On this piece, I used my fretless Ibanez GWB 205 acquired a few months ago. I was immediately disappointed with its performance in terms of dynamic (indigent pre-amp). However, it is a bass that has been recommended by the specialized press. It doesn't support comparison with my Ibanez SR 705 fretless which is yet twice cheaper. I'm obliged to get it a compressor to restore a little color to its sound. So I'll go back to my fundamentals (SR 705) for my future jams.

You know Philippe ,have you try some
pickup tuning ,this is part that can modified a bit of the dynamic,by raising it or lower it.if this not work ,a strings swap can help.After that the only way is to change the preamp or the pickup.
