There's two (general) threads in the arts. Those who make art to satisfy themselves, and those who make art to communicate to others. Some of the great artists never thought about pleasing others, but nevertheless communicate. Then there are lots of people who think they are artists who are just masturbating.
It's not like those who are most interested in communicating are always successful either. Many people want to be good at communication, but fail, either by having nothing much to say or not knowing how to say it. Originality is also important...who needs another copier? +1

Very good conclusion, my friend. I think ... I once told the mother of a friend who is a painter, seeing one of her exhibitions... it occurred to me all of a sudden. The phrase was "the art convinces". Only in three words, I summarized how I felt when I saw his paintings. I think so, the art convinces. Not necessary much more.
