Added EWI French and Chinese horns. It seemed like a comfortable cloud to share for a while! The tempo is also au natural with whiffs and trailing wafts becoming transparent.

Very nice Paul. You should be proud of this add. +1

Good countermelody line that adds to the atmosphere. Good sound you've come up with. Sounds a bit like a pipe organ. +1

PaulM44 Thanks, yes I try to keep the theme in mind with the wispy endings where possible without being obnoxious. I use two horns blended with the same notes (MIDI) to achieve the sound and automate the volume of one against the other to get variety.
Now all you need is a MIDI sax. :)

Wade Nope! A real sax is like a voice that potentially has an infinite variety of inflection/variation. MIDI gives notes and a tone so starts off with a very limited palate. You can vary these, but not much while playing. How one plays can give a lot more information/feeling than just notes and a tone.

However what's being played can also communicate a lot. The piano (piano forte to be accurate, meaning loud and soft) was an improvement on earlier keyboard instruments that could only play at one level (usually soft). It allowed another level of communication through dynamics.

The piano is still limited compared to wind instruments, however I'm very happy to listen to those who are excellent pianists and anyone who can make their instrument "sing".

PaulM44 Yes, obviously I was joking about the MIDI sax because that’s what I have but have tried it briefly and as you say is not close (yet—maybe with AI?). I still feel constrained with the EWI but free on the flute (but error correction is difficult). Yet possible expression makes it so much more enjoyable. I don’t have the embouchure Like Peter, but still am amazed by the quality and variation I can achieve—very satisfying mostly.

For keys, the MIDI plugin by Rhodes is pretty amazing.

Wade Ah... the limitations of written communication rather than face to face! I guess that's why "emojis" are used? +1

PaulM44 (Poor substitute), but general indicator of intentions....
Sorry to have missed 2024 Barnadise. Couldn't get the travel arrangements together in time and had local impediments similar to ones you've mentioned.
