Franco brings back the start of big band’s jamming the blues from the 1930’s through the 1940’s. They played it slow and fast and it was always swinging. My mother wanted me to play because she loved how Jimmy Dorsey looked holding a saxophone. Her uncle who played gave me lessons but on clarinet because he did not have a sax available. I wish I had experienced this kind of support or encouragement. Music has never really been an issue with us. So I came really late to my passion. My parents were both very good at drawing, but I don't really have a talent for that.
