Love this session. Great template and participants. My leaving off a track in mixing turned out to pose as creativity. I was curious how the Keys played by Philip would have saxophone react differently, so here it is as a new Saxophone interpretation.

Definitely urban acid jazz. As Paul wrote, it's a surreal atmosphere, with subtle and complex New York dissonances. Great piece, Ulf ;) Btw, the title is the recipe of pasta alla " gricia " :D +2

ulfberth Thank you for defining genres. I never really think about that. I like both versions, but the chords and feel of the alternate keyboards by Philip was a revelation. It made a difference as to how my Saxophone interpretation reacted. It is subconscious, since I confess that I don’t know what I’m doing. The Bass and the Drums are excellent and defines the composition. That roadmap still allows for many interpretations. I love your templates. +3

ulfberth Unfortunately I have a lot of trouble uploading at all. I use an older Mac to upload, but transferring to it, which can only play mp3’s with a substandard sound, caused me to make mistakes. Had I known keys would be added, it would have made sense to post the mix without sax sound for you to play to without its influence. In any case your keys made for an interesting version of the tune and I like them both. Thanks ! +1

Filo974 If you have time, please take an ear about what I’ve played after downloaded only sax from the original track that was so far from my new vision when kept possible keys #250822
and also #251266 #250796 made with same state of mind and technique, and I’m not a pianist (more guitarist)...Just a fun's player :D 😉
