Got me a new mic (Rode NT1-A)... so I had to do something :)
It's getting late... I have to go.....
I'll check my phone.... and I''m all alone....
Needed some time to figure things out.....
Get in my car... call it a day.....
Step on the gas..... and drive away.....
Needed some time to figure things out.....
I see the road.... through blinded eyes...
Increase my speed ... and lost my lies.....
Needed some time to figure things out.....
I'm almost there.... can see the sign....
Just hit the breaks ...

yessss... very nice song - sounds as if the Rode suits you well! Def. better than what you used before I'd say. I see this rather as a sketch thing - it is missing some kind of story development otherwise :) I know where you are aiming, and you are getting closer everytime :)

I hear you.... Completely right! But I'm always impulsive with these things.... Sit done and sing instantly.....writing lyrics is something else..... Gotta take some time for that for, better songs.....

i write in a similar way - you have a rythm/melodic line, and some matching words at first - its a musicians approach (like starting with repeating a riff), and it does lead to very cool results, while its really awful to try to bend a pre-written lyric to fit to music... but a good song needs to go somewhere... you know I've published a load of nonsense myself enjoying what exactly you did here :)

lol, might try to ruin this in a funny way... one could easily fill in some blanks, with you delivering the excuse at the end of the line. Snuts:"so i went to bed with your sister..." marc:"needed ssome time..." loool

"yeah, i know honey you thought I'd pick you up at the airport..." / "sorry I missed the birth of our only son" / "yeah, i know your family was upset I didn't make it to our wedding..." I AM inspired... +1
